My name is Kelly Calvelage and I have been teaching science in Parma City Schools for four years. I have taught Environmental Science, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Science, and Astronomy while in Parma City Schools. This year I am teaching Environmental Science, Physical Science and Physics. In addition to teaching, I am also the Environmental Science Club advisor. I was born in Columbus, and taught there for two years. Then my husband's job took us out to San Luis Obispo, California (about half way between LA and San Francisco). While we were out there, I subbed in the elementary schools. We now live in the Cleveland area with our daughter Catherine and our dog, Toby. I received my Bachelor's of Science in Secondary Education and Biology from the University of Findlay. I am currently working on my masters in Curriculum and Instructuction with an Emphasis in Science Education at Kent State University where I am also a Teaching Assistant for teachers in a Earth Systems Science course. My husband is an Environmental Health and Safety Officer at Worthington Industries in Cuyahoga Heights. In my spare time, I love to hike, garden, read, and travel.
